RECLAIMED MUSHROOM WOOD

Mushroom Wood is a distinct offering unique to Design Hardware. Sometimes referred to as reclaimed hemlock wood or mushroom wood, mushroom board is made from softer woods like hemlock, cedar and cypress.

Mushroom Wood comes from reclaiming wood from commercial mushroom growing beds and is ever growing in popularity due to it’s natural beauty. During the mushroom growth cycle, enzymes digest and erode the soft wood grain and produce an organic, sculpted effect. After the mushrooms are harvested, the wood displays a deep, open-grained texture and caramel hue.
